I am currently a Student of Physical Therapy (SPT) at Ohio University. I am passionate about health in all facets of my life and use my writing to explore different ideas related to movement and health. My prior experiences have been diverse (B.A. in psychology, playing/coaching D III collegiate basketball, track & field/cross country and 5 years of experience in organic & sustainable agriculture), but the common thread has been pursuit of health and well being.
Particular areas of interest for me are: neuroplasticity, chronic pain recovery, pain science/neuroscience of pain education, gymnastics-style training, physical and neural adaptations after trauma, and movement in natural settings. I hope that some of this information sparks an interest with you and that you find it useful in your own pursuit of health through movement. Thanks for reading! -Leda
p.s. I have recently been writing more about my personal experience in recovering from chronic knee pain (3 years of pain, 2 surgeries, etc.) and published a book about my healing process (see “Book” tab at the top of this page). Check out “Other Work” tab at the top for interviews that I have done and some of my other publications/writing works.
